Rob Braslin

Rob Braslin is a Wakka Wakka artist living in nipaluna/Hobart. Born and raised in the housing suburb of Clarendon Vale, Rob fell in love with painting way back in kindergarten. His first piece “Jenny’s House on Fire '' depicted his Auntie’s houses on fire. Thankfully, nobody was injured.

All through his primary and secondary education Rob gravitated towards creative writing and visual arts, in his mid twenties he became a stand up comedian, actor, writer and increasingly more broke, but happier than ever.

During the covid-19 pandemic, in lockdown Rob started drawing, taking photos on his old film cameras and in general thinking more about visual arts again. Working digitally Rob is using scans of his drawings and paintings; turning them into stand alone graphics, animations and gifs.

Rob is taking commissions for bespoke graphic design and logo work. Recently he has designed the logo for Nunami Sculthorpe-Green’s walking tour takara nipaluna.
